Financial Times Pulls App Due to In-App Policy

According to Financial Times, they had 10% of their subscriber base using the iPad last year, so it's no small number for them. Personally, I don't mind using web versions of periodicals, what are your thoughts?</p>

This is just another example of why so many people are anti-apple. Apple is one of the richest companies in the world and yet it adds a policy to further gouge it's customers and web developers. A newspaper in Melbourne, Australia, just published an article about how Steve Jobs is one of the least philanthropic of all the millionaires (or was it billionaires). Compare his to Bill Gates who is a Rotarian and donates many, many millions ever year. Microsoft also produces products at affordable costs and is largely open sourced. It starts to make Apple look like Ebenezer Scrooge.

Then look at Google which allows it's developers much more freedom. There may not be as many apps but they are often cheaper or free and allow much, much more customization of the device without "illegal" jailbreaking.

I enjoy my iPhone and iPad but I do get tired of being gouged by Apple on every turn. Those Android phones and tablets are starting to look more appealing every day.
