Now I'm sure the Mac App Store developers are wishing their store would generate the same kind of numbers, if this article is any indication. Granted, they haven't been around as long and Apple is just now getting ready to release Lion, which seems to be tailor made for the Mac App Store process, so perhaps it is just the lull before the storm. Or people just aren't interested yet since they have the versions they need at this point and won't really take advantage until significant updates are released. I have to admit I like using it and like the notifications for updates that are available, just like on iOS. And I would use it if I needed software, but the cost factor is much bigger with the Mac App Store than with iOS. I believe that is the main reason, but what are your thoughts?

I've bought a few products from the mac app store, but so far only under $5 each. It is a bit annoying that for some of the products I've installed earlier, updates are now coming only from the app store, and not always recognizing that I have a legitimate earlier version installed. But, the process will mature (I hope), and these glitches are really just minor annoyances so far.
