They also released Motion 5 [<a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=VoxLcfp5Si4&subid=&offerid=146261.1&type=10&tmpid=3909&RD_PARM1=http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/motion/id434290957?mt=12" target="_blank">affiliate link</a>] and Compressor 4 [<a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=VoxLcfp5Si4&subid=&offerid=146261.1&type=10&tmpid=3909&RD_PARM1=http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/compressor/id424390742?mt=12" target="_blank">affiliate link</a>], two graphics programs that enhance the output of Final Cut Pro X. However it's not all fun and games as some with older Macs are finding out they aren't able to run the new software with their machines. In a post on <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2011/06/21/final-cut-pro-x-notes-some-mac-pros-not-burly-enough-first-reviews-up/" target="_blank">9to5 Mac</a>, they outline the problems but basically if you have a 1st Generation Mac Pro, you will need <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001V3DZD4/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=camroatri-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399369&creativeASIN=B001V3DZD4">this adapter</a> in order to get it to work. The nice thing is, when you try to buy the program Apple tells you it won't work before you lay down your moolah, something that wouldn't happen if you were buying off the shelf or at the retail store. The adapter cost roughly $149.00 USD but if you don't want to upgrade hardware, that appears to be a small price to pay for the latest and greatest Final Cut Pro version. Upgrading your hardware is an eventuality anyway, but these machines are only two years old so I wouldn't think you should have to upgrade hardware so soon. Then again, as fast as technology moves these days, I guess that is to be expected. What are your thoughts? </p>
