<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://lifehacker.com/5805317/webmd-for-iphone-and-android-is-a-dynamic-mobile-health-compendium' target='_blank'>http://lifehacker.com/5805317/webmd...alth-compendium</a><br /><br /></div><p><em>"Whether you're trying to figure out what's wrong with you (health-wise), locate a pharmacy or hospital, learning about drugs and treatments, or track your health problems, WebMD is an extremely comprehensive solution for all of those tasks."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/adt/auto/1306623999.usr309.jpg" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" /></p><p>The well known medical information site <a href="https://market.android.com/details?id=com.webmd.android&amp;feature=search_result" target="_blank">WebMD now has an app</a> for Android.&nbsp; It loads to the main menu you see in the middle of the image above.&nbsp; To me, the most interesting feature was the "Symptom Checker", which is like a <a href="http://bodybrowser.googlelabs.com/" target="_blank">Google Body</a>-lite.&nbsp; It has a "Body" view and a "List" view.&nbsp; These let you either select an area of the body by tapping or choosing the name of it from a list respectively.&nbsp; The "Body" view supports pinch-to-zoom and dragging as well as giving a "Flip" link at the lower left to see the other side.&nbsp; I looked a up a few things and thought it gave great information.&nbsp; It showed me some of the possible side-effects of a medication I take that I would have rather not known.&nbsp; I guess that means it's good!&nbsp; It seems to be a detailed reference, at least for a mobile app.&nbsp; It even shows photos of what a medication may look like.</p><p>I have a few other medical reference type apps that I've tried and right now I'm thinking this could replace them.&nbsp; It seems to combine what they have and add to it.&nbsp; Give it a try and let us know what you think!&nbsp; btw...the source said it was slow.&nbsp; I thought it ran great on my Droid X.&nbsp; It does have a splash screen that loads before the main menu but the app itself doesn't seem slow to me.</p>
