A caveat though, this will only work on the GSM iPhones due to the layout change with the CDMA version, sorry Verizon customers! Something similar is available from Apple iPhone 4 Back Cover Panel Transparent BL - US$20.00 - China Ontrade - iPhone Spare Parts and Accessories Wholesale Supplier (http://www.chinaontrade.com/apple-iphone-4-back-cover-panel-transparent-bl-p-683.html) and it's only $20, including free shipping.

China Ontrade has lots of replacement parts, including back covers and front screens in all sorts of colors. A lot of their parts are supposedly OEM. They carry everything down to the headphone jack and light sensor.

I think they got in trouble with Apple a year or so ago when they posted replacement parts for the iPhone 4 before it was even released.
