One thing swirling about is that they are going to use it for video downloads from iTunes, or perhaps for the rumored cloud storage via MobileMe. I think Apple is finally going to take MobileMe to the next level and get serious about cloud services...but it's not something they've been historically very good at, so I'm curious to see how they do!

My guess, storage for their (new) data center on the US east coast, perhaps for the rumoured "free" MobileMe offering.

MobileMe for free? Wow, Jobs must have ground his teeth down to tiny nubs over offering a free service. They have to though, Google gives away so much stuff for free.
