I remember that a few years back there was a product similar to this. It would project a keyboard on the table and you would type on the projected keys. It used red lasers instead of the blue light though.

If I recall correctly, it wasn't very accurate. I wonder if this is better.

Actually I found the red laser keyboard pretty accurate, and this company makes those as well. What killed the projected keyboard IMHO, is the fact that you had to hover your fingers over the keyboard. Drove touch typists nuts, when ever one would try it. It actually didn't require you to touch the surface, just get really close. Problem was that you couldn't get closer than about 1/4 inch to the surface before there was a chance it was going to register. No home key resting for you. I hunt and peck so it worked great for me. I'm sorry mine died, could use it with my Slate, but they are still a bit too expensive to spring for another one IMHO. They cost more now than when I bought one years ago for my Pocket PC. This mouse thing actually can provide a keyboard feature as well as a mouse emulation. Do wonder what it costs.
