Out of curiosity, has anyone here received the update yet? And if you did, how was the update process?

Just finished.

Went pretty smoothly. I don't know if it's my imagination but like someone else said in the other thread - it does seem faster, or at least they reduced the delay on the transitions. Using an HD7 here.

That's not fair! I am in NYC, and still no update!

Nothing for my AT&T Focus yet either. Nurhisham, how long was the backup process?

Nurhisham, who is your service provider? Where do you live?

I live in California and use AT&T. No update so far. My wife and cousin haven't received update notices either.

I live in Toronto Canada and I tried doing the update last night on my Samsug Focus, but the update process hung for about 4 hours. I finally found the courage to hit the cancel button on the Zune software interface and luckily it did not brick my phone. It seems to be working as usual.

Maybe it's a good thing, 'cos some alarming news for Samsung owners http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/22/first-windows-phone-7-update-not-going-smoothly-for-some-samsung/

Has anybody using an US carrier received this update? I have T-Mobile and..... nothing.
Some friends of mine with AT&T are in the same situation........

Jason... didn't you say in a post yesterday (or so) that it seemed like European users were going to get this first?

From what I've seen on the internet, I don't think any North American users have seen the update yet.

For those asking, I'm not in NA but in Asia. But even here the rollout's uneven, maybe because some operators are exercising their right to skip one update cycle.

For info: using an HD7, on Maxis Malaysia.

A friend of mine from XDA Developers, whose on Bell here in Canada received his update on Tuesday, the 22nd. Took about 15 mins, went without a hitch.

So, it looks like some carriers in Canada are starting to push out the update.

While his phone is 'unlocked', it's still a 'Bell' phone and registered within it's network.

Jason -- my suspicion is that in our case (AT&T phones unlocked and running on Rogers) we'll have to wait until AT&T pushes out the update.

What is in the update? I understand that copy & paste is still not available.

Basically nothing more than an update to the update software to the REAL forthcoming update will work better.
