The Verizon iPhone 4 launched publicly Thursday morning to mixed lines across the country."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/lpt/auto/1294796570.usr105634.jpg" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" /></p><p>Mixed results indeed, as there were nowhere near the lines for the Verizon iPhone 4 that everyone expected. It could be for several reasons though, namely the pre-order sales to existing customers from week earlier, or the fact that it is so close to the iPhone 5 the smart move is to wait a few months and see what Apple is going to announce. I'm betting that it is a combination of both. The current customers gave Verizon their best ever pre-order numbers so quite a few obviously ordered the iPhone 4, and when it opened up to the general public, I'm pretty sure those AT&amp;T customers that want to switch are going to wait until the iPhone 5 is announced. At least that is what I'm surmising since according to <a href="http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/11/02/10/survey_of_first_verizon_iphone_4_buyers_finds_limited_att_cannibalization.html" target="_blank">this survey</a> there weren't that many switchers making the purchase. I guess we shall really find out in June when the iPhone 5 is expected to be announced won't we?&nbsp;</p>
