99 cents a week is a very reasonable price point. I'm glad they did the research to come in at a good price point.

What baffles me is who has time to read an entire magazine EVERY DAY? Not me!

The price point is OK. I won't buy it until I see the slant the news takes. I'm not a fan of Rupert's politics, nor that his news organizations tend to slant the same way. If I see some reviews which say The Daily does not have the typical Murdoch slant, I may give it a try. To me, the content is more important than a flashy, user-friendly interface/delivery.

Not trying to start a flame war or convince anyone else. It's just my opinion.

Jason, regarding the required time -- I suspect most people will read the sections they want and not even glance at the others, just as they would do with a newspaper. Personally, I try and read about anything and everything going on in the world every morning. I travel a lot. When I'm having breakfast at a hotel, rather than reading the newspaper, I read the news on my iPad -- Reuters app, often the USA Today app, sometimes the AP app, though it's still buggy and has a terrible interface.

The way my brain works, if I was paying weekly for something, I'd try and read all of it, even if it doesn't interest me.

LOL! You've obviously always been a very "driven" person, so I just had to laugh at that bit of self-recrimination.

It's just the principle of the thing, isn't it? :)

Indeed. It's surprisingly hard to NOT read an article in a magazine that I've bought. There's a part of my brain that says "Although this topic isn't of significant interest to you, there's knowledge here and you never know when you might need to know what this article covers". I value knowledge almost to a fault.

My brain is weird that way. :D
