The milestone shatters Apple's previous high-water mark for the $99 device set it October: 250,000 units. At the time, CEO Steve Jobs remarked he was 'thrilled.'"</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1293557699.usr105634.jpg" /></p><p>Bold prediction, yet success for Apple. Now if they would only expand the offerings as far as interfaces, such as adding Hulu to the mix, or perhaps some interfacing with some of the networks. Heck, throw in some of the professional sports leagues such as NFL Redzone and it would really be something! How about you? What are your thoughts on what you would like to see as far as interfaces, or do you prefer using Roku?</p>

I'm one of the million - got an AppleTV for the Holidays. At the $99 price point, it's an easy impulse buy. It works well, and I especially like Airplay from the iphone, Ipad, and other macs in the house. The interface is great - using Netflix on the AppleTV beats the hell out of using Netflix on the Tivo.

Bought one when they first came out. At $99, it wasn't a hard decision.
Was easy to set up and works well with all the other Apple stuff I have (I have gone completely Windows free). I love being able to stream everything from my iMac's iTunes folder (music, movies, photos) to it. Tried the Netflix thing with it. While it worked better then doing NetFlix through my PS3 (disc based), I cancelled my account (again) because the quality of picture and sound just wasn't there. When I buy or rent a movie from iTunes, I get 1080i resolution (not so bad as I only have a 32" TV) and 5.1 Dolby Digital audio.
The ability to do photo slide shows and show movies captured from our Sony HD camcorder is worth the price alone. No more huddling around a computer screen.
As a side note, I just bought a Logitech Harmony 900 remote and it controls all functions of the Apple TV box.

Love the Logitech Harmony remotes, I have two that I use for different rooms, they work so easy. I have yet to set up my new Apple TV, cant wait though since my old one is acting up, just haven't had the time
