The Houston Chronicle cut out the carrier reviews and it is a painful one for AT&amp;T. AT&amp;T failed miserably in each and every category, rating the worst in every area except texting in which it was second to worst. That being said, only regional carrier US Cellular had any significant "Better" notations with most carriers ranking in the middle."</em><span><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1291693797.usr105505.jpeg" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" /></span></p><p>Personally, my recent experiences with AT&amp;T have been very pleasurable. &nbsp;Customer service in person has been great, and the phone service has been adequate. &nbsp; All of that being said, if the rumors of a Verizon iPhone in January are true (and I personally doubt that they are), this doesn't bode well for AT&amp;T. &nbsp;I have no plans on changing carriers, but most people I've spoken to with iPhones do plan to switch to Verizon if that option is offered. &nbsp; This rating from Consumer Reports can only make things worse. &nbsp; If you have an iPhone, are you planning the move to Verizon if that option is offered to you?</p>

In this case it seems more useful to read the reviews of the review. I too have had AT&T for a long time, with no more issues than I had with T-Mobile before them. Changed for coverage, lost nothing. Currently I have AT&T for the family, T-Mobile for a Windows Phone 7, and my wife has a Verizon MiFi. AT&T seems to have the best coverage, T-Mobile best deal, and the customer service is dependent on the individal CSR in all three cases. It's about a wash. You can pick by coverage, cost, or cult following...your choice.
