Hmm. It would seem that a UPS for the whole home entertainment system is a better solution than a battery powered TV...you want to protect all your gear from power surges and brown outs/power sags. Plus, a battery would add weight and cost which seems kind of pointless.

Excellent, I'll need this tv for my battery powered blueray player and battery powered cable box/satellite dish, then I'll be immune to power outages interrupting my nightly OC viewings.

Yea... I think UPS is the only way... or just make your whole house solar/battery powered. ;)
