My original ship date was November 12th, with delivery expected on November 17th. I decided to check with HP, and lo and behold, demand has exceeded supply. I went to check order status, and, HP's digital certificate has expired, and my browser presents me with only gibberish. Now I wait for the 17th, to see if anything shows up on the doorstep. No communication at all from HP, so I'm not optimistic.</p>

It's quite ridiculous that HP wouldn't communicate properly with customers who bought the product - they should know better!

I'll say. The only way I have any visibility is to look in my bank account to see if there is a charge from HP, and it's been there in pending status for weeks, so it's a coin toss at this point.

What can you say? They are a company of engineers. That business stuff sometimes just seems to get in the way. I still think fondly of my first PocketPC, an HP Jornada. What a beatifully designed and executed little device. Even had an integrated flip cover to keep the screen from getting scratched in my pocket, and shaded it outdoors. Before Apple ever showed the world that people carred about color, you could buy designer color lids for the Jornada, both business and hip. Did they market it well? Heck no, that StarTrek toy looking thing from Compaq became the darling. You couldn't even put a CF card in it without buying a 'sleeve'. What a brilliant concept, expandability....no, what a brilliant concept, accessory sales.

Oh well, sorry about this. Don't know where it came from.
