Basically, using a device that is Wi-Fi Direct certified doesn't require a network connection, they create their own and allow you to connect to other certified devices such as printers. Speeds for Wi-Fi Direct are upwards of 300Mbps since its based on the 802.11b/g/n channels, along with greater range than what Bluetooth currently offers. So the thought is that this could be the end of Bluetooth, what are your thoughts?</p>
