Are the screenshots Market 2.0 then? Because I got that around the same time paid apps became available in my region.

Is anyone even using Android 2.0 anymore? According to the Google stats less than 0.1% are using it.

Looks like this update is for 2.1, to give 2.1 users the same market as 2.2 users.

2.0, while a real release, was quickly updated to 2.1, and I don't think more than a handfull of phones ever shipped with 2.0, hence the low numbers. That's why you hear 2.0/2.1 referred to collectively as Eclair, 1.6 was Donut, 1.5 was Cupcake ;)
