Occaisionally a user will bring their own home PC's in and ask us if we would mind 'taking a look as it's not working correctly'. In these cases I have seen some bizarre broken PC's from virus and spyware infections, to PC's where the owner has tried to upgrade the memory and have forced the DIMMS in the wrong way, or even in one case had put laptop memory in a PC memory slot.
