The rest of the camera remains the same, including the 30-300mm equivalent VR lens and 3" VGA LCD, clad in what I consider a pretty nice design. This camera looks pretty sweet! I quite like the design, especially in red. Nice feature set, and the 1080p trumps my current Panasonic ZS3. I'd give up 2x in optical zoom, but I think this one might take better pictures...kind of tempting!

Personally I still prefer the Panasonic. 30mm vs 25mm on the wide end makes all the difference. Not to mention the Panasonics are a known quantity; Coolpixes have been a lot of "miss" lately, and very few "hits".
