A few years back on Pocket PC Thoughts, I wrote a piece asking people about their Email Organization strategy, and mentioning that I personally like my inbox to always be at 0 when I'm done at my computer. At the most, on an average work day, I may return to my inbox and find 10 - 12 e-mails waiting for me after a meeting. So when Google activated my Priority Inbox a few days ago, I realized something. It doesn't work for me - my inbox is too clean. Now Priority All Mail, that may do the trick...

So those of you who have activated Priority Inbox, what do you think? Do you want it to come to your Android Phone? And those of you like me - what GMail improvement on device or on phone are you looking for?

This is exactly how I feel about Priority Inbox. It sounds great, but I work hard to never have more than 5 or 10 emails in my inbox at any given time. So Priority Inbox actually made my inbox seem longer.

For people with huge, overflowing inboxes, it sounds like a godsend. But I turned it back off, because I just don't really need it.

I kept it on, I figure at some point I may take a real vacation and come back to an overflowing inbox. Might be 4-5 years in the future, but ya never know ;)

I think the strategy of keeping one's inbox lean is ideal. However, there are those of us who get dozens, if not hundreds of emails a day. In this case Google's priority inbox is great.
I have stopped checking more frequently and this allows me to focus with less disruptions. Granted, this is psychological but still it helps.

It would be great for this feature to be ported to our gmail inboxes on our Droids.
(unless that is already happening and i haven't found it).

A mobile solution is available in the form of a bookmark. I'll have a post up on it sometime in the next few hours!

I have the same problem. I love the idea but with an average of 5 things in my inbox at any giving time it is kinda pointless for me.

I haven't turned it off yet (and probably won't) but I don't really have a use for it at the moment.
