I kinda like the short cord. Maybe not with a PPC, but with a mini-MP3 player (like the new Sansa Clip), the cord looks long enough to leave the player in a shirt pocket or clipped to a collar, shirt sleeve, or maybe even a baseball cap without alot of extra wire hanging.
