If this device is indeed based on the SIM U1, it's a tri-band UMTS 850/1900/2100. The GSM offers Quad-band support for 850/900/1800/1900MHz. The specs I pulled from the Portuguese site are incomplete and don't specificy exactly which frequencies are supported. I'm leaning on the U1 lookalike myself. Have you seen evidence it's only has single band UMTS support? Am I missing something?
