Apple apparently takes care of their customers in a way we arent used to anymore.

I experienced something related when I ordered my MBP and wasn't able to apply a $100 Apple Gift card: the rep sent me a cheque for the amount listed, even though they, as he said, don't normally do so.

In any case, very good to hear that they are treating you like this.
