I realize that this post is several weeks old, but just in case I thought I would try to help. Opera Mini will always ask if you want to proceed, even when going to another web page. There is a version out there that I think is on the XDA site that eliminates this.
As far as your GPS goes, you need to download and install GPSID. If you do a search, you will find this. Once installed you need to do the following:
Program Port: Select COM3
Hardware Port: Select NONE
Hardware Port Baud Rate: Select 9600
Also check the box that says MANAGE AUTOMATICALLY
