Well let's see here...the point of a reminder is to tell you to do something. How many people are going to wish someone a birthday at midnight? So, even if you were awake at midnight, what would you do? Maybe send an email...but it's not like you can go shopping for a gift or call the person. Having a default is important, but why not have a default that makes more sense? 8 AM? 10 AM? I think
anything would be better than midnight.
