WiMAX isn't exactly taking the world by storm, but that hasn't stopped HTC from producing its first WiMAX-enabled Windows Mobile device, the T8290. It's similar to the Touch HD in that it features a gorgeous WVGA (800 x 480) display measuring 3.8", GSM, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a camera, and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Sources suggest that Russia's Yota will be selling it shortly. Availability in other countries is still a question mark.
