I agree and Matrox sells graphics cards too! I can't think of a situation where this product would the suitable and cheaper alternative to a competitor product.
Try the
Gefen USB to VGA adapter. Its $99 and you can easily add them on to your existing set up, if you need multiple monitors. Much more affordable! It has a max resolution of 1280x1024, BUT there's also a
DVI version that supports up to 1600x1200 AND you can install 6 of them on 1 PC.
