Last year I had an iPaq 4705. I was using it one night while I was out, and when I got home, it was completely dead. It didn't work at all. I tried everything I could think of, took it apart, and couldn't find any obvious reason why it wouldn't work. I was left with my SonyEricsson z525, which was a good phone, but couldn't pick up the slack of a good Pocket PC device.
Long story short, I ended up getting an unlocked iPaq 6945, which I've been running ever since. I sent the 4705 to PDASmart.com for fixing, but since I've gotten used to a device with a QWERTY keyboard and a data connection, there's just no going back to a non-phone device.
