Well hot damn, that's pretty interesting! I wonder how the performance will be? The last time we saw a mainstream developer try to create a photo app, ACD Systems, we had an expensive, sluggish program that didn't do much. It looks more like a viewer than anything else though - I don't see any features listed other than upload and view.
