I picked one up this weekend. Had to drive 2 hours to pick it up as the local stores don’t receive any, and the store I drove to only had 3 in stock. There was a dummy model on the floor but there was no price on it, no name either if I remember correctly.
Phillip, The phone has been listed as Pre-Order since around the beginning of May. I assume they are stocking the BB Mobile stores first and then it will be available online. That is pure conjecture though.
I am switching from a Smartphone, sans touch screen, so it is a bit of an adjustment for me. First though is that it works great as a phone (#1 priority for me) and for light email, texting, multi-media. Build quality is excellent IMHO and the packaging and included accessories is well sorted, although that would be expected in this price range.
Still getting use to the 20 key suretype keypad. The numerous onscreen options available are a nice alternative allowing for easy operation 1 handed or two handed, slider open or closed.
The touch cube is pretty cool. I would like to modify it just a bit to completely suit my needs, but out of the box it offers great access to the main function I am wanting out of the device. Much smoother and intuitive than the standard MS interface. The HTC home is nice as well. Once I get the phone configured to my liking, I can see only using those two elements to access everything I need.
Not really a review, just some random thoughts, sorry to digress. closing thought would; be so far it is a great device.
