Do you really expect to utilize all that flash storage space? Given that you'll have a laptop (presumably offloading each day's images to it), that seems like an overabundance.(??) Nothing wrong with that, of course....it's certainly lightweight and next to nothing in terms of space taking.
I guess I'm a dinosaur. I generally have a 2GB microdrive in my camera, shoot exclusively RAW and never fill it up in a shooting session. In fact, I start getting nervous when it gets much over half full as I start worrying about the portable media crashing and burning, and losing everything. Even on a trip such as yours, I suspect I wouldn't carry much more than maybe 4 2gb cards. That does assume I have the ability to offload each day's shots that evening.
