Very nice in-depth review. :thumbs up
As a long time Pocket PC user starting from my E-125 and working my way as a "Beta Tester" (we all are considered a beta tester for these devices) I thought I would never go to Smartphone route but have with the start of my E62 and now with the Blackjack.
I have a Cingular Branded 8125 which is a nice Pocket PC but falls short on too many things #1 being a good phone.
The blackjack is a excellent phone with PDA functions but when it all comes down to it I use it as a phone 75% of the time and the rest for a mix of Media player, internet browser, PIM, task manager, and a few other things that involve tweaking a web site on the backend.
After many many years and many different devices the blackjack can do almost everything my Pocket PC can but in a much smaller package and at a faster result in terms of downloading large files like e-mail and being able to put it in my pocket and not notice it. Once you place a 8125 in your pocket and later the blackjack you will get to love the blackjack.
As far as battery life is concerned this is a real problem. I have ordered the larger capacity battery and cover through Cingulars rebate offer and hopefully I can test it using the larger battery but I always keep a phone charger in my car at all times.
Also the Nokia E62 is a excellent device but can't use my slingbox with it and videos are too slow. But the Nokia Browser is by far the best I have ever used and the battery life on it is incredible!
The major drawback to the E62 was the lag when accessing or even deleting text messages. It was a chore opening the SMS message and if your trying to delete multiple messages you have to do it one by one.
The blackjack is a keeper, heck! it has to be... the wife will kill me if I bought another device anytime soon. Ha
