Yes, AFAIK it's impossible to deactivate the LED in the 1940/2210 series in software (thru the Registry), unlike in the hx4700. |
I didn't know you could do it on any PPC. Could you post the reg hack for the 4700? Might be a similar fix in other PPCs, though I'm sure you are right about the 1940/2210 and probably 4155/4355.
