Totally OT, but there is one school district here that has banned those big backpacks. There was too much stuff going back and forth that didn't need to be. They have limited the kids to one binder, the zippered kind preferably, and lunch. They are providing two sets of text books, one for at school, which I presume stays in the classroom, and one set for home. There are, of course, arguments for and against, but it should at least reduce the theft rate of electronics, and possible change the focus of kids iin classes. Might reduce the instance of shoulder and back problems as well.
