A lot of warranties are region specific - e.g. US / Asia Pacific / Europe, etc.
My current Pocket PC is about 18 months old. It does have a worldwide warranty even though it was purchased in the Asia Pacific region. However, circumstances may have changed since then. Also, with respect to a worldwide warranty, you are only covered in countries where warranty services can be offered. Your best bet would be to contact HP as
Fishie has suggested - they would be more aware of what constitutes validity of services with respect to your country of interest, and also, whether it's a worldwide warranty.
