I don't think there was anything invasive about the post. From time to time, the news team post on people's opinions, whether they are sponsored articles or not. Now whether you agree with a person's opinions is another matter, and it's open to comment as others have done so in this thread.
Sure - while this may be a sponsored article, it is still a representation of Joe's comments on what he sees as the best apps from ClickApps. I don't think it's anything different to Joe Bloggs' opinion on what he sees as being "good programs" from Company X. Well, these were my thoughts anyway...
