Guys, if you guys are really concerned about speed in the desktop. Get a good job and buy a Firewire card reader. In my unnoficial timing copying\moving a file(forgot the size) is about 1 minute on a USB 2 drive and about 42 seconds on a firewire reader. they cost about $80 but you guys spend $600 on a PPC anyways
