Ok try this Start Pocket File Explorer, and if necessary scroll down until you see some white space. Tap and hold on the white space, it will pop up a screen, Check "View All Files" if it is not checked.

Next go to the /Windows folder, and find Welcome, tap on it. It will give you a screen like you have just Hard reset your device, but you haven't. You'll need to go through the screen calibration, again. This will reset some pointers, and may fix your problem.

Can you download a program to your device?

Hmm, don't worry about me, this is what I do to relax.

Can you try putting the next line in PIE and see if anything happens.

66.218.71.198

That will tell me if the problem is with the DNS server.

Perhaps you would apologize to your wife for the aggravation I am causing her, for me. And ask her to continue with putting your head down.
