you don't *install* an ebook. it's a text file you open with an ebook reader.
now since you wanted to know about the "install to" option, did you install palm reader from your desktop, or copy the .CAB file to your memory card with the card reader and run on the PDA?
if you run the desktop installer, you're always asked "do you want to install this app in the default location" or similar, select "no" to select another drive.
but the program *should" be installed in main memory, to prevent any confusion and system lockups/weirdness when you don't have the card inserted.
