It was this reason that some theorists projected changing cities with respect to sidewalks, etc. If it takes off, I can see that being the case, but I think too many people don't work where they live and this will never happen. Not to mention it is hard to replace a $200 bike with a $5000 motorized auto-balancing scooter that kids can't do tricks on.
