I bought a SMC Wireless router with print server when CompUSA had them on sale for $80 and was just waiting to get my DSL hooked up. I have a Jornada 568 and a Silver Orinoco PC 802.11b card (I read that these had the longest range and I have a 3 level house and large yard I wanted to roam in). I was able to get internet access through the router and PC card in a snap, but spent about 3 late nights trying to get my Jornada to network with my desktop and sync my device. After reading extensively on the web the lightbulb clicked and I realized I just needed to set IP address for my desktop and Jornada since I was working on the protected side of my router's firewall. Then Voila! everything worked like a charm. I even have PrintPocketCE and can print wirelessly from my Jornada.

This is great since my wife spends a lot of time on the desktop with her candle consulting business and I can sit and watch TV or lay in bed and surf, etc.
