Same problem...here's the fix...
I had the same problem as well with Heroes Season 1 HD-DVD boxset disc 2 on my 360 HD-DVD player.
I took the box set back to Best Buy for an exchange.
One of the sales people told me he saw a comment on the Best Buy internal forum where one of the posters said something like...
"Put disc 2 in the 360 HD-DVD drive. If it doesn't play or gives you an error then navigate to the 'System' blade and delete the cache or memory for the HD-DVD drive in that menu."
I followed these steps and it worked for me.
I'm not sure if this is only a 360 HD-DVD problem or all HD-DVD players.
You "may" have to reboot/turn off-on 360 before this works. I'm not sure, but I did it anyway.
