Chris, I've been working with Orb and the Wii ever since we got the Wii -- it was the first thing I tried to do after getting the Internet channel set up!
However, while audio and photos work OK, my experience with Orb-streamed video so far has been a poor one. I'm running both the Wii and our media PC over 802.11g, both units having >70% signal quality, and yet the resulting video streams are nearly unwatchable. Pixelation, stuttering, and occasional buffering all make video an unpleasant experience. I blame part of this on having to rely on Flash as a video format -- it just wasn't intended for that purpose -- but I've not yet exhausted all possible tweaks to improve things. As I mentioned, if the Wii just had a UPnP media client with native support for more formats, things would be better. Or, just open it up to running applets from the SD card or an external USB drive -- I'm sure the developer community would have a blast making the Wii do things Nintendo never even considered.
