Default Missing Right-Click Audio Options in Windows XP? Check The Folder Type

Here's a quick Windows XP tip that relates to audio and Windows Media Player 9. One of the easiest ways to play an album of music with Windows Meida Player 9 is to right-click on the folder containing the album and select "Queue It Up" or "Play With Media Player". But what if you don't have that option on your right-click menu? It's missing because Windows XP doesn't recognize that folder as one containing music. Here's how to get it back!

1) Right-click on the folder you want to update.
2) Select Properties
3) Click on the Customize tab
4) There's a drop-down menu for "Use this folder type as a template" - select "Music Album (best for tracks from one album)". You should see it as shown below:

5) Once you've made that select, click OK. After several seconds, right-click on the album folder again and you should see all of the correct options listed as shown below.

Enjoy your music!
