Aside from the whole Xbox thing, seeing as how other Zune owners can "see" your Zune by its name if you have wireless enabled, I can see why they bar offensive usernames. You might not want your child to see someone's Zune named with the F-word or whatever while he's trying out the WiFi feature to see who's around. Kind of like how they try to bar you from using offensive words in vanity plates for cars.
